The Riojan mountain and leisure footwear brand Chiruca has renewed its agreement with the Inti Route, an expedition aimed at young people from all over the world, in which each year they travel to a different destination during which the participants are immersed in a cultural and social adventure.
The partnership agreement with Chiruca has been extended. If in 2022 the firm from La Rioja used to wear shoes for the monitors and technical team, this year its alliance has been extended to the whole organisation, and in this way all the members of the management, camp, medical and catering teams, etc., will wear the Impala 31 model, which has also been customised exclusively for them.
This year the Expedition will travel through Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula, between 23 July and 19 August. They will pass through the biocultural reserve of Puuc, visit emblematic places such as Chichen Itzá, Uxmal or Mayapán, walking along some of the famous White Ways of the Mayan people.
One of the peculiarities of the 2023 expedition is that it will be carried out with a zero carbon footprint, thanks to the planting of trees that they will carry out in Yucatan and activities of good environmental practices, with full attention to the conservation of the environment both on a large and small scale.
For this reason, Inti wanted to start the Footprint reduction from here and visited the facilities of the brand that supplies them with footwear and took the opportunity to plant trees in their forest, the Chiruca Forest.
